On the third indoor day of BUIC 08-09 Gentle is on a winning streak.
Today , missing players like Wouter,Jelle,Kimpie en Dalle we still managed to win all games against Huyltimate,Diabolic Heaven , Mooncatchers and Wannabeezzz.
Another ticket for playoffs earned...
This means (probably) 5 other teams will be competing for only 4 tickets for the playoffs on next indoor day. (Freezzzbeezzz,Diabolic,Huy,Slijpschijven and Moon ?)
It seems there are many teams who make a strong impression the last few indoor days.
Today Gentle only won with one point from Huyltimate ; this game could have gone both ways.. Same for the game against Moon , although this was a little more deserved victory since Mooncatchers (missing players like Pierre and Fab) had a really off-day , having trouble finding their game and thus going down to second division for the first time in a long time..
Second team to go down to second division is Wannabeezzz.
Losing to the last game to Huy with 8 to 9 (as you can see in the picture below) made the degradation even worse for these young enthousiastic players guided by the 'Legendary Duo' Seppen and Ratje...
So Diabolic,Huy and Gentle stay in division 1 after playing some very nice games ; all three of these teams could (maybe) have won this day...
In second division Slijpschijven and Freezzzbeezzz showed they deserved to come back to 1st.
I wonder what's gonna happen on the last indoor day when everybody is gonna have to start counting to see if they made it to the playoffs... Exciting !!
In 3d division Slijpschijven2 and Jetset were the kings of the day.
That's all the info I got right now..
It's cool to see indoor is such a success for everybody. You get to work on your throwing skills and it is such a different game from the outdoor version of Ultimate.
Who will be crowned champion of 2008-2009 ? To be honest , I don't know.
What I do know is this : there's a STICKER FEVER going 'round in town.
Massive fights were signaled of people trying to steal doubles from others and drinking other people's Barbars... Call your mates , trade your doubles and complete the book of legends...

In division 6 there were two very close games between the 2 gentle's and diabolic heaven 3. Both ended 8-8 and after the last point it became 8-9 for Gentle. Disco Duro lost all their games but made quite an improvement since the first BUIC day. It was a great day with very good spirit in division six. In 7th devision, the matches were increased up to 40 minutes playing, because one team didn't show up.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenFirst game was a close race between Trancheuzen and Propellers, which was won in the end by Propellers with 12-10.
Second game: Trancheuzen-Freespect2 ended in 13-5.
Third game: Propellers-Freespect2 ended in 13-6.
So Trancheuzen and Propellers are going to 6th devision.
