News ! - Euro Youth Championships 2011 !

Check out this announcement by the European Federation ! :

"The EUF Youth Subcommittee are now able to confirm the time and date for the European Youth Ultimate Championships 2011.
It will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, on August 8th to 13th.

This means it starts two days after EUC in Maribor, which was requested by most National Federations so coaches that play EUC can go from one event to the other and stay in "ultimate mode".
We are very grateful to the local organizing committee, who have stepped in 6 weeks ago, when the original bid in a different city collapsed due to time collisions.
Many thanks also to those National Federations that offered to step in.

In our attempt to enable the tournament to grow and make it possible for as many as possible to participate, we are happy that Wroclaw can offer us a great venue with extra amenities at a very low cost.
There will also be a discount on the team fee for eastern European teams.
By this we aim to promote growth in European youth ultimate.

The registration will be through ffindr, in several steps.
The first step will be that National Federations should indicate by April 10 in which divisions they intend to participate, so the organizing committee will know the rough sizes for their planning (info with link to ffinder will be sent out ASAP).
After that the official registration will start.
The official tournament web site with necessary details will be available in April.
The divisions are as before:
Under 17 Girls and Under 17 Open (born '95 or later), Junior Women and Junior Open (born '92 or later).

Wroclaw offers great facilities, with 12 fields side by side plus more fields within a short walk.
Most facilities are within 15-20 min walking distance; there are camping and university dorm
rooms right next to the fields.
You can view the venue by copying the GPS position into a Google maps window:

Wroclaw, aka Breslau, is situated in south western Poland, relatively close to Prague or Berlin.
Ryanair offers several routes, as does WIZZ.

So, get your teams together, practise and look forward to this great event! We are excited
to see how many new teams will make it to Wroclaw. If you got any questions you can email
