EUC 2011 - Website Is Up !

In digital times like these, it's always a must to have an attractive website announcing your event so everybody can get excited about it, right from sitting at their computer screen.

Mission accomplished in this case.

BUIC Day 3 - Mini Report - Primera Division

A mini report concerning today's Belgian Ultimate Indoor Championship in 1st division.
With day 2 being cancelled all teams in first division really wanted to give it their best shot to earn a spot in the playoffs. All teams played some hard games and the level was pretty high, and newcomers Diabolic Heaven and Eulch'timate (Lille,FR) confirmed they can give the other teams a really hard fight.
Mooncatchers took the day victory after beating Gentle with 10-8 in the final game, in which Moon started strong and earned a nice victory after being beaten by Gentle the previous playing day.

CONCLUSION : Mooncatchers well-deserved day winners, Gentle runners up, and Freezzzbeezzz (2 wins,2losses ) all stay in first division; Eulch'timate and Diabolic Heaven go down to second division again.
Hazzzbeezzz promotes to first division (this promises a funny battle between the 2 Bruges teams next BUIC day) together with Slijpschijven and if I'm not mistaken Moon and Gentle are already certain of a spot in playoffs.

Check out this video of two top-level NFL football players playing Ultimate. Funny stuff if you ask me. I wouldn't mind seeing some other sports players play Ultimate (imagine Lionel Messi,Ussain Bolt or Roger Federer with a disc in their hands....)

Just to give you an idea : Katerina Baritsa, a Russian player from team Brilliance was so amazed by the skills she saw at WUCC2010 in Prague, she wanted these skilled players to come over and give some workshops. After getting in contact with them through Facebook, they agreed to come over if return plane tickets and visas were paid for.

 A brilliant idea that might change a lot of people's view on Ultimate....
